
WHAT WE DO:
MediaAID harnesses the creative capacity of Discover The Journey, creating promotional and documentary media for other organizations. Our media has been used by non-profits and faith groups to fundraise capital, launch awareness campaigns, attract volunteers, and highlight programs, simply by telling stories. We believe a powerful and well-made story can truly capture the heart and vision of any organization.
DTJ has filmed in over 50 nations worldwide, giving us an edge over other media organizations. DTJ's MediaAID films, websites and photography have been used by organizations to generate more than $1.2 million dollars since 2006. Through story, hope can be found amidst the suffering, and a bridge is created as audiences connect emotionally with the people found within the story: the people you serve.
DTJ's story creation background serves organizations to compliment their fundraising and awareness efforts resulting in greater capacity to create change. Our goal is to see stories that develop community around an organization’s work by inspiring and uniting people toward action.

DTJ'S CHILD PROTECTION MANIFESTO
Discover The Journey has developed the following policies and best practices that inform how and why we tell stories about children at-risk. Our manifesto of story is rooted in thousands of hours spent listening to children in dozens of nations around the world emerging from a vast range of cultural, political, geographical, and social con- texts. In additioning to adhering to UNICEF’s “Principles for Ethical Reporting on Children,” DTJ seeks to serve children children at-risk through our media, story telling and advocacy. No media we create should ever endanger, stigmatize, or ostracize a child, but rather em- power, dignify and give voice to a child. DTJ is committed to protect- ing and honoring each child we represent through the various forms of media.
